1. What is this year’s scientific program?
This year's conference will consist of eight sessions, and will include parallel lectures:

- Hot news in NETs;
- MEN-1;
- Basic Science – What’s new?;
- Case presentations from the ENETS Advisory Board;
- Management of GEP Grade 2 and 3 neoplasms;
- Pathways and new molecular targets; and
- Integrated NET management;
Lectures will be open to questions from the audience. Please click here to see the preliminary conference program, including the postgraduate course, scheduled for 7 March 2012. This is a ticketed session and the cost per person is € 100. There is no deadline to register for the postgraduate course. Capacity for the course room is 400, and we will keep registration open until that is reached, informing any would-be applicants beyond capacity that the registration is closed.
In addition, there will be early morning “Meet the Professor” lectures. PLEASE NOTE: These are ticketed sessions that must be registered and paid for in advance. Participation is limited to 20 per session and registration is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Conference participants registered for a session will receive entrance tickets via e-mail prior to the conference. There will be no on-site registrations for these lectures. 3. When and where does the conference registration start?
Conference registration (conference material pick-up) begins on Wednesday, 7 March 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Registration then continues on Thursday, 8 March, at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 9:00 a.m., which is when the conference opens. Registration tables will be set up at the entrance area of the conference venue.

4. Is there a registration fee? Is there a deadline to register?
There are non-negotiable registration fees for the conference which cover all conference materials, lunches, and coffee breaks. Students who can provide proof of their university matriculation can attend the conference for free, as can journalists who can provide proof of their professional status. Please make sure you have registered with the ENETS Office in Berlin.
Please note the registration fees and deadlines:
- Early registration fee – before 30 November 2011: € 500.00
- Registration fee – after 30 November 2011: € 550.00
- Late and on-site registration fee – after February 10, 2012: € 600.00
- Exhibitor registration fee for pharmaceutical representatives (excludes access to plenary sessions): € 250.00
- Discounted fee for registered nurses: € 250.00
- Members of the press and university-matriculated students: Free entry
When you pay the fee(s) for yourself and / or your delegates you MUST indicate what the payment and amount are for. The ENETS Office receives numerous payments daily, many without indication of who is making the payment or what the payment is for. We ask all registrants to take this into consideration.
Students, journalists and nurses please note: Students must be able to provide ENETS with proof of their university matriculation and journalists must provide ENETS with proof of their professional status. Nurses must also provide ENETS with proof of their employment in order to receive the registration discount.
Please be aware that the general registration fee DOES NOT cover travel to and from Copenhagen, nor does it cover lodging for during the conference.
If you are registering a group of delegates, you can do so if you do not yet have their names. On the registration form, click on "reservation" which will allow you to enter a reservation without providing a name. You can return to the reservation later and change it to a "registration". This must be completed by 26 February 2012.
ENETS can, for a limited time based on availability, offer individual registrants hotel rooms. If interested, please indicate this on your online registration form. Booking requires a € 200 deposit, which can be paid online via the ENETS homepage. Bookings will be made at the Hotel The Square, www.thesquare.dk. Please contact the ENETS Office via the contact form on this website to inquire about or book a room.
Your registration – if you are not being sponsored by a pharmaceutical company – is not considered valid until your registration fee payment is received by ENETS. You must pay the registration fees at the same time as when you register. Direct bank transfer details are:

IMPORTANT NOTICE regarding cancellation: For registration fees to be refunded, written notice of cancellation must be received no later than 10 February 2012. No exceptions will be made. The amount of registration fees remitted, minus a € 50 administrative charge, will be refunded after the ENETS Annual Conference. Substitutions are accepted with written notification and each will be billed € 50 per registration. No refunds will be made if notice is received after 10 February 2012.
At the conference, ENETS will charge a € 20 fee for any lost name badge.

5. How do I register for the conference?
Non-sponsored delegates must register here. PLEASE NOTE: Delegates may be sponsored by a pharmaceutical firm, in which case, the firm must register you with ENETS for the conference. Please contact your national affiliate for details.

6. Will there be abstract sessions? What about poster prizes?
There will be two abstract sessions during the conference – one for clinical practice and one for basic research related to cancer biology. The conference organizers will also collect all abstracts – regardless of the authors’ age or level of academic degree – in a booklet to be distributed to all conference attendees.
The conference abstract review committee will select, prior to the conference, four clinical research abstracts and three basic research abstracts for oral presentation. Authors for these presentations will be contacted before the end of January. The presenters chosen for oral lectures will be barred from also showing their work as a poster. Abstract authors not selected for oral presentations will be invited to present their work as a poster. Poster guidelines will be made available here shortly.
The best three abstracts for clinical practice and the best three for basic research will be awarded monetary prizes, “Young Investigator Awards”, in the amount of € 1,500; € 1,000; and € 500. Prizes will be awarded to investigators under age 40. These prizes will be announced during the conference.

7. Can I get CME credits for the meeting?
The conference has been approved for accreditation by the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE). Participants can receive up to 18 CME credits, depending on whether he or she takes part in the conference postgraduate course on 7 March.

8. Who can attend the conference? Can you help me with a visa?
The conference is open to all ENETS members and to physicians and researchers working in a field related to neuroendocrine tumor disease. Please see question 4 on this FAQ page regarding registration fees.
ENETS can provide participants who wish to attend the conference, but need a travel visa, with a letter of support. To receive this letter, please first register for the conference. When you register, you will automatically be offered a letter of invitation toward obtaining a visa.
