A Retrospective Analysis of Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs) in West Azarbaijan of Iran

Introduction: NETs are most often located in the intestine and lungs but they can occur in other areas of the body. Limited data are available on epidemiology and clinical patterns of NETs in Iran.

Aim(s): We analyse the medical records of 25 NET patients in order to identify origins and clinical patterns.

Materials and methods: In this retrospective study, we analyzed 25 NET patient medical records for age, sex, primary site, presence of metastases at presentation and sites of metastasis. The records are from two cancer centers in West Azarbaijan province of Iran.
