Second Primary Neoplasms in Patients with Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN): DATA from a Retrospective Multicentric Study

Introduction: Patients with sporadic gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NEN) may exhibit a higher risk of second primary tumors than the general population.

Aim(s): Aim of this study was to analyze in a GEP-NEN population the incidence of second neoplasms.

Materials and methods: Retrospective cohort of 2,757 patients with sporadic neuroendocrine neoplasms, followed and managed at eight Italian tertiary referral Centers were included.
