Sequential Chemo-Radiation Therapy for Locally Advanced Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of Head and Neck
#628
Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) of the head and neck are considered an infrequent clinico-pathological entity. Combined modality treatment represents an established therapeutic option for poorly differentiated forms where distant metastasis is a common pattern of failure.
Aim(s):
Materials and methods: We report on four cases of locally advanced NECs of head and neck treated with sequential chemo-radiation consisting of three cycles of cisplatin and etoposide followed by loco-regional radiation to the head and neck.
