Teratoma with Malignant Transformation: A Case Report of a Neuroendocrine Tumor That Arises from the Bronchial Mucosa in a Mature Cystic Teratoma


Introduction: Mature cystic teratoma (MCT) is the most common type of germ cell tumor in the ovary. A malignant tumor that arises in a pre-existing mature teratoma is called teratoma with malignant transformation (TMT).

Aim(s): To describe a peculiar case of TMT with neuroendocrine features.

Materials and methods: Case report.
