Tie-2 and Angiopoietin-2 Plasma Levels as New Diagnostic Markers for Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors. Data from One Clinical Center
#441
Introduction: Data concerning circulating levels of the angiogenic factors in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NET) still remain insufficient.
Aim(s): To measure plasma levels of selected angiogenic factors in NET patients in order to find new diagnostic and prognostic markers in these unpredictable and highly vascularized tumors.
Materials and methods: The levels of the following factors were assessed with ELISA in 36 NET patients and 16 controls: VEGF, angiopoietin 1 (Ang-1), angiopoietin 2 (Ang-2), Tie-2, endostatin, osteopontin (OPN) and chromogranin A (CgA).
