UMB-4 as New Monoclonal Somatostatin Receptor Antibody: Correlation of Immunostaining with Molecular Imaging using Somatostatin Receptor PET/CT
#195
Introduction: Somatostatin receptors (SSTR) are known for an overexpression in neuroendocrine tumors (NET).
Aim(s): Tocorrelate immunostainings using the new monoclonal SSTR-5 antibody (clone UMB-4)with molecular imaging using SSTR- PET/CT.
Materials and methods: Overall 40 surgical specimens generated out of 34 histologically documented GEP-NET patients were analyzed. Quantitative assessment of the receptor density was done using the Immunoreactive Score (IRS) of Remmele and Stegner for immunohistochemistry and SUV (max and mean), molecular tumor diameter (MTD) and volume (MTV) for Ga-68-receptor-PET/CT.
