Introduction: TIM 16 protein is part of the traslocase complex TIM 23 situated in the mitochondrial inner membrane, encoded by the Magmas gene, that is overexpressed in several tumors. Introduction: GEP-NECs show Ki67>20% and/or >20 mitoses x10 HPF. Mixed AdenoNeuroendocrine Carcinomas (MANECs) are mixed exocrine-neuroendocrine neoplasms. NECs are associated with poor prognosis but recent findings have suggested that there is a fraction of patients showing a better than expected survival rate.
