#2870 When It Comes to the Diagnostic of Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN), Not All Markers and Clones Were Made Equal. Assessment of 5 Makers in 466 NEN from 10 Anatomical Sites
Introduction: Histological diagnostic of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) relies on morphological criteria and expression of several neuroendocrine marker assessed by immunohistochemistry. Systematic large evaluation of classical (chromogranin A (chrA), synaptophysin (Syn), CD56) and emerging (chromogranin B (chrB), INSM1) markers are lacking.

#3047 Functional Consequence of β-Arrestin 1 Gene Knock-Out in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor Cell Line BON-1
Introduction: An important limiting factor influencing treatment efficacy of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) with somatostatin analogs (SSA) is the availability of somatostatin receptors (SSTR) on NETs. While downregulation or altered pattern of SSTR expression are important considerations, receptor internalization/desensitization by β-arrestins may be a crucial contributing factor. Interestingly, our previous study showed a preferential higher expression of β-arrestin 1 (ARRB1), in gastroenteropancreatic NETS (GEP-NETs) compared to pituitary adenomas.

#2946 Analysis of Factors Related to Gallstones in Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors Treated with Long-Acting Somatostatin Analogues
Introduction: Somatostatin analogs are the backbone of neuroendocrine neoplasms treatment. Biliary stone disease is a potentially severe adverse event of somatostatin analogs.

#61 Multiple tumors in patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours: morphological and immunohistochemical characteristics
Introduction: Pancreatic islet cell tumors occur in 80% of patients with MEN 1. Tumors are often multicentric. They often produce multiple peptides and biogenic amines.

#104 Myocardial motion abnormalities in patients with carcinoid disease without overt carcinoid heart disease
Introduction: Cardiac abnormalities occur in 15-70% of patients with carcinoid disease, typified by fibrosis of the right-sided valves. Myocardial motion abnormalities in subjects without overt carcinoid heart disease have not been previously described. Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) allows quantative analysis of myocardial motion. We used this technique to investigate whether myocardial motion is reduced, suggesting fibrosis, in patients with carcinoid disease.

#145 Paragangliomas: a series of five cases
Introduction: Paraganglioma is a rare extraadrenal neuroendocrine tumor, composed of chromaffin cells and arising from the neural crest. The head, neck, and retroperitoneum are the most common sites for paraganglioma.

#168 Neuroendocrine Tumors - Imaging Abdominal Complications
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors mostly arise from the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas but also from bronchopulmonary or any other organ. Abdominal complications are usually associated with the primary GI tract tumor.

#174 Loss of Expression of the DNA Mismatch Repair Proteins MLH1 and MSH2 is Rare in Pancreatic and Small Intestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction: Loss of expression of the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) proteins MLH1 and MSH2, which is known to correlate strongly with MSI, has not been well studied in pancreatic or small intestinal NETs.

#175 The Immunohistochemical (IHC) Expression and Prognostic Value of ER, PR, and HER2/neu in Pancreatic and Small Intestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction: There has been limited study of ER and PR expression in gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors (GINETs) and data on HER2/neu overexpression in GINETS has been conflicting.

#385 Treatment of Small Bowel Neuroendocrine Tumor (NETS): A Single Center's Experience
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETS) of the gastrointestinal tract are rare, slow-growing neoplasms. Long-term management of these tumors varies among centers.
