#1352 Outcomes of Cytoreductive Surgery for Well-Differentiated Metastatic Neuroendocrine Tumors in the Setting of Extra-Hepatic Metastases
Introduction: Cytoreduction with extra-hepatic disease for neuroendocrine tumors (NET) remains controversial

#1818 Patient Outcomes after Cardiac Surgery for Carcinoid Heart Disease Are Dependant Upon Successful Cytoreductive Multimodal Treatment and Control of Metastatic Neuroendocrine Disease
Introduction: Carcinoid Heart Disease (CHD) as a result of long standing carcinoid syndrome is associated with a poor prognosis due to development of valvular incompetence & right heart failure. Cardiac valve surgery is the main therapeutic option.

#72 Reduced expression of p27 and the occurrence of CpG island methylator phenotype in insulinomas
Introduction: The molecular pathogenesis of sporadic insulinoma is unclear, though some of the genes were found to be slienced by promoter methylation. CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) was found in a number of common tumors and correlated with loss of expression of p27, which may contribute to the tumorigenesis of the tumors.

#266 Everolimus Reduces Cell Viability in Selected Human Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma Primary Cultures
Introduction: It has been demonstrated that everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, has a potent anti-proliferative effect in a human Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC) cell line, TT, and in two human MTC primary cultures.

#647 Reducing the Risk of Tuberculosis Reactivation when Administering Everolimus for a Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor: A Case Report
Introduction: Everolimus can potentially reactivate tuberculosis (TB) through immunosuppression. This was recently reported to have occurred in a kidney transplant recipient. To date, no clear strategy has been developed for reducing the risk of TB reactivation during everolimus treatment.

#2040 Hepatic Tumor Burden Can Be Reduced Rapidly and Effectively by Trans-Arterial Embolization Combined with Systemic Therapy in Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumor Liver Metastasis (NETLM)
Introduction: The main tumor burden of patients with neuroendocrine tumor liver metastasis is comprised by hepatic lesions.

#148 Near-complete regression of liver metastatic lesions in a patient with advanced pancreatic gastrinoma in response to somatostatin analogue therapy following cytoreductive surgery
Introduction: Although the majority of pancreatic NETs present with hepatic metastases, surgery with curative intent should be the first consideration. Cytoreductive surgery by resection of primary and secondary deposits may be of value in achieving local or endocrine symptoms control.

#212 Reduced MEN1 Gene Expression in Pulmonary Carcinoids Is Associated With Metastatic Disease
Introduction: Lung carcinoids are neuroendocrine tumors that can be classified as typical (TC) or atypical (AC) carcinoids. Previously, MEN-1 mutations and associated LOH of 11q13 have been implied in tumorigenesis.
