#2927 Systemic Chemotherapy for Inoperable Goblet Cell Adenocarcinomas (GCAs) and the Role of Anti-EGFR Antibodies
Introduction: Appendiceal GCAs (previously Goblet Cell Carcinoids) have variable behaviour. Systemic chemotherapy (Chemo) is often extrapolated from colon cancer. KRAS mutations (KRAS-mut) are rare and more often present in Tang-C/high grade. The role of anti-EGFR antibodies (MoAb) is unknown.

Introduction: Appendiceal GCAs (previously Goblet Cell Carcinoids) are composed of cells with secretory phenotypes. Several grading systems to predict behaviour are available (e.g.Tang). The latest WHO 5th edition adopted a grading system similar to colon adenocarcinomas.

Introduction: Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia 2B is associated with particularly early onset medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC). Metastatic MTC is the leading cause of early death in MEN2B. The usual sites of metastasis are neck, mediastinum, lung, liver, bone and brain.

#3030 Targeting CXCR4 and Thioredoxin Reductase in Theranostics of Atypical Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Carcinoma
Introduction: Atypical carcinoid and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) are currently incurable. There is thus a critical need for new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (LNEN). Chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), a G protein coupled receptor and theranostic target, plays a crucial role in metastases of LNEN. We hypothesize combination of thioredoxin reductase (TR) inhibitor represents a metabolic strategy to enhance cytotoxicity in peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) of LNEN.

#39 Specialist dietetic input and nutritional outcomes in Neuroendocrine Tumour Patients
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors that are complex to manage and require a multidisciplinary approach. The most common primary sites are the small intestine and pancreas. The disease itself, as well as sequelae from surgery and medical therapy, can have a negative impact on patients’ nutritional status. Weight loss is known to be a poor prognostic indicator.
