#621 Occurrence of Type 1 Gastric Carcinoid In Patients with Autoimmune Chronic Atrophic Gastritis
Introduction: The actual incidence of type1 gastric carcinoids (GC1) as a long-term complication of chronic autoimmune atrophic gastritis (CAAG) remains to be clarified as studies are few.
Conference: 10th Annual ENETS Conference (2013)
Category: Non digestive NETs (bronchial, MTC, pheochromocytoma)
Presenting Author: Dr Roberta E Rossi
#263 Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Associated with Hyperparathyroidism: A prospective Study
Introduction: The association of gastric carcinoids (GCs) type 1 and hyperparathyroidism (HPTH) has been reported, whereas a possible association between chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and HPTH is still scant.

#407 Co-existing Type-1 Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs) and Adenocarcinoma in Autoimmune Associated Atrophic Gastritis
Introduction: Autoimmune gastritis (AIG) causes oxyntic gland atrophy. This condition is often associated with Type-1 gastric NET secondary to achlorhydria and hypergastrinemia. Similar to atrophic gastritis in non-autoimmune conditions, AIG is associated with intestinal metaplasia that could progress to glandular dysplasia.

#818 Treatment with Somatostatin Analogs of Recurrent Type I Gastric Carcinoid in Patients with Autoimmune Chronic Atrophic Gastritis
Introduction: The treatment of type 1 gastric carcinoids (GC1) is still debated, in view of their usual benign behavior.
Conference: 11th Annual ENETS Conference (2014)

#1289 Reduced 25-OH-Vitamin D Levels in Patients with Chronic Autoimmune Atrophic Gastritis
Introduction: Chronic atrophic autoimmune gastritis (CAAG) is characterized by parietal cells disruption leading to hypochlorhydria and vitamin B12 malabsorption. An increased risk of osteoporosis was reported in patients with long-standing hypochlorhydria. Only few studies reported a possible association between CAAG and 25OHVitamin D (25OHvitD) deficiency.

Presenting Author: dr Sara Massironi

#1339 Netazepide, a Gastrin/CCK2 Receptor Antagonist, Can Eradicate Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumours in Patients with Autoimmune Chronic Atrophic Gastritis
Introduction: In a two-centre, 12-week, open trial in 16 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis, hypergastrinaemia, multiple gastric NETs, and raised circulating CgA, the gastrin/CCK2 receptor antagonist, netazepide, reduced the tumour number and size, and normalised CgA.
Conference: 13th Annual ENETS conference (2016)
Category: Medical treatment - Targeted therapies
Presenting Author: Dr Malcolm Boyce

#533 Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumor Type 1 Associated with Autoimmune Polyglandular Syndrome Type 3B: A Case Report
Introduction: Gastric neuroendocrine tumors (GNET) are most commonly associated with pernicious anemia and hypergastrinemia. The coexistence with other endocrinological deficiencies is uncommon.
Conference: 9th Annual ENETS Conference (2012)
Category: Clinical
Presenting Author: Dr Ivan Kruljac
#267 Plasma Somatostatin: Gastrin Ratio Improves the Diagnosis of Gastrinoma
Introduction: Fasting gastrin alone is inadequate for diagnosis of gastrinoma. Diagnosis requires confirmation of low gastric pH. Low gastric pH is associated with increased numbers of D (somatostatin) cells.
Conference: 8th Annual ENETS Conference (2011)
Category: Basic

#830 The Predictive Value of Gastrin Levels for the Diagnosis of Gastric Enterochromaffin-like Cells Hyperplasia, in Patients with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
Introduction: Gastrin and chromogranin A (CgA) levels have been tested for the diagnosis of enterochromaffin-like cell hyperplasia (ECLH), in patients with type 1 diabetes and autoimmune atrophic gastritis but there are no data for patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT).
