#76 Role of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in the differential diagnosis of the pancreatic and hepatic lesions
Introduction: Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) is a new promising tool for the characterization of pancreatic lesions. This technique allows for highlighting the micro-vascularization of a lesion, especially with the use of second generation contrast media, characterized by harmonic responses at low acoustic pressures. Pancreatic endocrine tumors (PET)s were reported to have a peculiar behavior at CEUS, consisting of a higher enhancement compared to normal pancreas in the arterial phase and a rapid washout.

#1042 The Challenge of Differential Diagnosis of Solid Pancreatic Lesions in Von Hippel-Lindau. Case Report
Introduction: Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) is an hereditary syndrome, characterized by a predisposition to develop benign and malignant tumors. Pancreatic involvement is present in 35-70% of cases and include cystic (simple cyst, serous cystoadenoma, mucinous tumor or IPMN) and solid lesions (neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN), metastatic mass or pancreatic adenocarcinoma). Finally, a solid-type serous cystoadenoma (SSCA) has been reported. Differential diagnosis of these lesions may be difficult.

#2237 99mTc-Colloid Scintigraphy in the Differential Diagnosis of Pancreatic NET
Introduction: An accessory spleen (AS), a benign and congenital condition, is characterized by a small nodule of splenic tissue found outside of the spleen, which can mimic a pancreatic neoplasm (p-NET). 68Ga-PET/CT is used to study lesions suspected for NET, but the radioactive tracer binds also the reticuloendothelial cells, resulting in false positives in case of AS.

Introduction: Somatostatin-Receptor Scintigraphy (SRS) has a sensitivity and specificity for pancreatic NETs (pNETs) of 90 and 80% respectively. SRS is indicated as first staging procedure and one of the most sensitive imaging modalities for well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors, based on imaging of somatostatin receptors (SSRTs).
