#1295 Intra-Operative Portal Vein Insulin Assay Combined with Occlusion of the Pancreas for Complicated Pancreatogenous Hypoglycemia
Introduction: Pancreatogenous hypoglycemia is a rare endocrine disorder. The precise localization of hypersecreting tissue and determination of complete resection are two main challenges for complicated pancreatogenous hypoglycemia, such as multiple endocrine neoplasia syndromes type-1 (MEN-1) and nesidioblastosis.

#179 A Variant Pancreatic Insulinoma in MEN1 Syndrome Characterized by Normoglycemia/Normoinsulinemia but Abnormal C-Peptide and Abnormal Proinsulin Levels
Introduction: Insulinoma associated w/ hyperinsulinemia is frequent in functioning pancreatic NET in MEN 1. We report on familial variant insulinoma w/ normoglycemia/norminsulinemia, but abnormal C-peptide and proinsulin.

#2737 Identification of a Novel MAFA Missense Mutation Causing Familial Insulinomatosis
Introduction: Insulinomatosis is a rare pancreatic disease characterized by an adult-onset condition of recurrent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia caused by multiple insulin-secreting neuroendocrine tumors.

#502 Bifunctional ShRNAimPDX-1 Therapy Prevents Hypoglycemic Death From Insulinoma in Mice
Introduction: PDX-1 is a novel molecular target for insulinoma. Bi-functional shRNAi platform has been developed that results in a more effective targeted gene knockdown.

#50 Clinical-morphology correlation in diagnostics and evaluating surgery results of pancreatic insulinoma and nesidiobastosis
Introduction: Organic hyperinsulinism syndrome (OHS) is revealed in 85% cases of pancreas insulinoma. Nesidioblastosis (NB) induces OHS in 15% of the cases. Surgical cure provides all symptoms of insulinoma disappearing, while cytoreductive operation results in considerable improvement of life quality. There is no intraoperative opportunity to reveal insulinoma grade, even if an urgent biopsy is performed. Thus, it is essential to determine the cause of OHS and to apply the surgical cure method during the preoperational period, thereby improving the long-term prognosis.

#275 The Use of Guar Gum in the Medical Management of Hyperinsulinaemic Hypoglycaemia
Introduction: Medical therapy, including guar gum, is frequently required in the management of patients with endogenous hyperinsulinaemic hypoglycaemia (e.g. insulinoma), especially if surgery is not appropriate.
