#2809 Sporadic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Young Adult Patients: Natural History, Prognosis and Management
Introduction: Data specific to sporadic neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) in young adult patients (pts) are limited due to its rare occurrence.

#2813 Clinical Presentation and Prognosis of Patients with Medullary Thyroid Cancer
Introduction: Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) is a rare type of tumor that originates from parafollicular C-cells and accounts for 3–4% of all malignant thyroid neoplasms. MTC presents as sporadic (75–80%) or inherited tumors (20–25%). Hereditary MTC is part of multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN2).

#2844 Rectal Neuroendocrine Tumor with Chromogranin Expression Is Associated with Aggressive Clinical Behavior and Worse Prognosis
Introduction: Although rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) with L-cell phenotype and small tumor size generally had better clinical behavior, the new 2019 WHO classification classified all rectal NETs are malignant without considering L-cell phenotype and small tumor size. Therefore, identifying biomarkers of rectal NETs is important to stratify the clinical behavior of rectal NETs.

#2953 Temporal Trends in Incidence, Presentation and Work-Up of Neuroendocrine Neoplasms of the Appendix
Introduction: Although temporal trends in incidence and prognosis of neuroendocrine neoplasms have been described in the literature, data regarding trends in Appendiceal Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (ANENs) is limited.

#2746 Immunohistochemical Biomarker Expression in Gastro-Entero-Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors at ENETS Centre of Excellence, University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland
Introduction: Gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NET) are a heterogeneous tumor entity with respect to biological behaviour and prognosis. This makes diagnosis and treatment a major challenge.

#2821 Nucleophosmin Expression and Relocation in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors: Preliminary Data
Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) are a heterogeneous group of neoplasms with unpredictable clinical course and biological behavior. Nucleophosmin (NPM) is an important multifunctional protein mainly located in the nucleolus. NPM has been reported to be overexpressed in many types of human cancer, activating tumor development and progression. However, the role of NPM in PanNETs is unknown.
