#59 Incidence and clinical significance of adrenal masses in patients with gastrenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors
Introduction: The widespread application of modern imaging modalities, mainly computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), has revealed a 2-3% incidence of inadvertently discovered adrenal masses, the majority of which are non-functioning benign adrenal adenomas. In the presence of a known malignancy, such lesions have a more than 30% incidence of being metastases. As patients with gastrenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETS) have mainly well-differentiated and slow-growing tumors and are subject to routine abdominal imaging for disease staging or during follow-up, it is important to study the incidence and significance of such lesions based on the recently introduced TNM classification system.

#1425 Dosimetry to Estimate the Effect of Gelofusine® on the Renal Absorbed Dose of Lutetium 177-DOTA-octreotate.
Introduction: Lutetium-177 DOTA-octreotate (LuTate), a radiolabelled somatostatin analogue, delivers targeted radiation to neuroendocrine tumours and metastases. Healthy tissues also receive significant irradiation. Charged amino acids are routinely co-infused to block renal proximal tubular LuTate reabsorption. Gelofusine® (a succinylated bovine gelatin molecule), proposed to interact with the megalin/cubulin receptor-mediated transporter system, has been shown to reduce renal uptake of indium-111 octreotide. Routine Gelofusine® administration is limited by risk of allergic reaction.

#1206 Two Cases of Ectopic ACTH-Secreting Neoplasm of Occult Origin Becoming Overt After Bilateral Adrenalectomy
Introduction: Cushing's syndrome (CS) is an endocrine disorder associated with serious consequences if not adequately treated. Nearly 80% of the cases of endogenous hypercortisolism are adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) dependent, the ACTH source being pituitary in about 70-80% and ectopic in 10-15%. The ACTH source may remain occult in few cases for many years in spite of extensive investigations.
