#3047 Functional Consequence of β-Arrestin 1 Gene Knock-Out in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor Cell Line BON-1
Introduction: An important limiting factor influencing treatment efficacy of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) with somatostatin analogs (SSA) is the availability of somatostatin receptors (SSTR) on NETs. While downregulation or altered pattern of SSTR expression are important considerations, receptor internalization/desensitization by β-arrestins may be a crucial contributing factor. Interestingly, our previous study showed a preferential higher expression of β-arrestin 1 (ARRB1), in gastroenteropancreatic NETS (GEP-NETs) compared to pituitary adenomas.

#2853 Succinate Dehydrogenase B (SDHB) Immunohistochemical Expression in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours and Correlation with Somatostatin Receptor Immunohistochemistry
Introduction: The established category of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) deficient neoplasms includes several endocrine tumours with recent evidence that pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PNETs) could be included in this tumour group. The SDH complex is composed of four subunits (A-D) but loss of immunohistochemical (IHC) expression for SDHB indicates bi-allelic inactivation of any SDH component and is used as a marker for syndromic disease.

#163 Clinical value of MRI DWI and (Gd-EOB)-DTPA to assess liver involvement in patients with advanced gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs)
Introduction: Standard MRI, including breath-hold techniques with SE T1 and T2 weighted images, biochemical shift, and 3D GRE and also T1 images after gadolinium enhancement Gd-DTPA, are useful in detecting liver lesions in patients with advanced GEP-NET. Recently, new algorithms of MRI, including diffusion-weighted imaging MRI (DWI) and i.v. (Gd-EOB)-DTPA (Primovist) contrast enhancement, seems to be promising in the detection of liver deposits.
