Aim(s): To identify the differential expression of proteins in insulinoma and normal pancreas by comparative proteomic analysis, to evaluat the clinicopathologic implications of certain proteins expressions in insulinomas and PNET
Materials and methods: Proteins isolated from 5 fresh frozen insulinoma tissues and 4 normal pancreatic tissues were used for Nanospray LC/MS/MS analysis. 294 PNETs from 286 pts were enrolled and 230 pts (80%) were followed up. The expressions of protein UCH-L1, p53BP1, MAP2, PDX-1, and α-internexin (INX) were validated in insulinoma and other PNET by IHC and western blot. Expressions of both UCH-L1 and INX were correlated with clinicopathologic features and prognosis
