Acute Somatostatin Analog Suppression Test in a Patient with Thyrotropin-secreting Pituitary Macroadenoma

#1910

Introduction: Thyrotropin-secreting pituitary adenomas are rare and often plurihormonal tumours. The long-acting somatostatin analogues (SSA) are effective in cases not cured after surgery.

Aim(s): To assess TSH and FT4 response to acute octreotide administration.

Materials and methods: We report a 39-year-old woman with a TSH-secreting pituitary adenoma.
