ALPPS for Neuroendocrine Liver Metastases Not Suitable for Conventional Hepatic Resection - Interim Analysis of the International ALPPS Registry Abstract #3064

Introduction: Surgery is the most effective treatment option for neuroendocrine liver metastases (NELM). However, the majority of patients with NELM do not have disease that is resectable using conventional methods. Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) is a relatively novel two-stage strategy in hepatic surgery.
Aim(s): To assess the suitability of ALPPS as a surgical strategy for NELM that are not conventionally resectable.
Materials and methods: The International ALPPS Registry was retrospectively reviewed to study patients who underwent ALPPS for NELM. Kaplan-Meier methodology was used to assess survival outcomes.
