Assessment of Neuroendocrine Tumors' Heterogeneity with Combination of Molecular Imaging Studies

#863

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NET) are heterogeneous neoplasms. The choice of the appropriate molecular imaging study for assessment of disease extent usually depends on tumor grade.

Aim(s): To assess the value of combination of molecular imaging when a heterogeneous cell population is suspected or established.

Materials and methods: Patients with different-grade NET lesions, confirmed with biopsies and existing simultaneously, were identified. All patients had two molecular imaging studies Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography (FDG-PET) and Gallium-68 octreotate PET (Ga-68 DOTATATE) around the same period.
