Characteristics of the Immunophenotype and the Status of Receptors for Somatostatin Type 2 and 5 of Typical and Atypical Carcinoids of the Lung Abstract #2872

Introduction: Carcinoids of the lung are a wide range of tumors with various malignancy.
Aim(s): To study the receptor status and immunophenotype of the lung's carcinoids
Materials and methods: We performed immunohistochemical assessment of the diagnostic biopsies and surgical specimens from 122 patients with carcinoids of the lung. Were identified 60 typical carcinoids (TCL), 62 atypical carcinoids lungs(ATCL).Markers of neuroendocrine differentiation, cytokeratins (CK) 7 and 19, thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1), somatostatin receptors (SSR) 2 and 5 were used.

#2745 Integrative Genomic Characterization Identifies Molecular Subtypes of Lung Carcinoids
Introduction: Lung carcinoids (LCs) are rare and slow growing primary lung neuroendocrine tumors. The WHO classify LCs into atypical and typical carcinoids. Recent studies have shown that the reproducibility of LCs classification and its prognostic efficacy have high interobserver variability

#1689 The Prognostic Value of the Expression of Cytokeratin 7 and 19 in Lungs and Pancreas Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction: The expression of cytokeratins (CK) 7,19 rarely occurs in the low grade neuroendocrine tumors (NET) of lung and pancreas. It is known that part of the low grade typical (TC) and atypical (ATС) carcinoids of lung and pancreas (pNET-G1,G2) can progress quickly and to metastasize. It is important to distinguish NET with a less differentiated cells immunophentype.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors are rare understudied diseases at the molecular level, especially those occurring in sites outside the lung and the gastrointestinal track. This lack of knowledge has strong implications for the clinical management of these diseases (Rindi et al. Mad Pathol 2018).
