Clinicopathological Characterization of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors in a Single Institute of North Africa: A Retrospective Study of 80 Cases

Introduction: The management of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) is based on a variety of factors including stage, anatomic location, and the presence and type of symptoms.

Aim(s): In the present study, we aimed to study the clinicopathological characteristics of GEP-NETs applying the World Health Organization (WHO) 2017 classification.

Materials and methods: The study included 80 patients diagnosed with GEP-NETs at Salah Azaiez Institute of Tunisia from January 2002 to December 2018. Data regarding clinicopathological features were retrospectively evaluated.
