Ectopic Cushing Syndrome in a Patient with Metastatic Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma

Introduction: Ectopic Cushing syndrome was reported in 0.6% of patients with medullary thyroid carcinoma; it usually occurred in metastatic cases and significantly increases mortality.

Aim(s): To present a case with ectopic Cushing syndrome.

Materials and methods: Calcitonin was measured by chemiluminescence, plasma cortisol and ACTH by electrochemiluminescence, chromogranin A (CgA) and neuron specific enolase (NSE) by ELISA.
