Effects of Transarterial Chemoembolization of Liver Metastases from Neuroendocrine Tumors on Clinical Outcome

#522

Introduction: Trans-catheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a method of treatment of non-resectable liver metastases from neuroendocrine tumors (NET) which provides control of clinical symptoms and tumor growth.

Aim(s): To analyze characteristics of patients with hepatic metastases from NET who underwent TACE.

Materials and methods: Thirty-one patients (aged 56.8±10.9) underwent 140 TACE procedures during 2003–2011. Kaplan–Meier method was used to calculate the progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).
