Evaluation of ENETS and AJCC Staging Systems for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms: A Multicenter Study in China.

Introduction: Accurate staging system is crucial for p-NENs management. The European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) and the International Union for Cancer Control/ American Joint Cancer Committee/ World Health Organization (UICC/AJCC/WHO) advocated their TNM staging system for pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (p-NENs) respectively.

Aim(s): To evaluate the prognostic validity of two TNM staging systems of ENETS and AJCC for p-NENs in Chinese.

Materials and methods: From January 2001 to April 2015, data of patients who were pathologically diagnosed as p-NENs were retrospectively reviewed from 8 institutions in China. Cox model was used to assess the prognostic value of included patients.
