Gallium 68 DOTATATE PET CT Assessment of Patients (pts.) with Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (GEP NETs): First Experience in a Multidisciplinary Team in Argentina (Argentum Group)

#444

Introduction: 68Ga-DOTATATE PET CT offers higher resolution than other scintigraphic techniques in terms of localization of the primary tumor and staging of GEP NETs. Different reports in the literature suggest increased sensitivity but clear consensus about indication in neuroendocrine tumors is unclear.

Aim(s): To evaluate the perfomance of 68-Ga DOTATATE PET CT in GEP NETs pts., and to compare results with CT/MRI plus or minus 111 In-Octreotide images. To describe the experience of 68-Ga DOTATATE PET CT in pts. with advanced GEP NETs treated by a multidisciplinary team in Argentina.

Materials and methods: We analyse the records of eight pts. (N:8 pts.) who underwent both CT/MRI plus or minus 111 In-Octreotide and 68-Ga PET CT between 2010 and 2011. We evaluate if 68-Ga PET CT provides additional information and examine whether management or strategy had been altered by the results of the 68-Ga DOTATATE PET CT.
