GEP-NET in 2012 from Chinese People’s Libration Army General Hospital

Introduction: WHO 2010 GEP-NET Classification without the traditional terms as carcinoid and atypical carcinoid is not well-accepted in China.

Aim(s): To understand the New NET Classification and apply the new grading criteria in Chinese GEP-NET patients.

Materials and methods: GEP-NET from Jan 1 to Nov 15 in Chinese PLA General Hospital was enrolled and analyzed. The data within 10.5 months showed that 101 cases of GEP-NET were diagnosed histopathologically in our hospital. Grading was performed by applying WHO 2010 criteria. Statistics were used to assess the associations between tumour grade and pathological indices.
