Incidental Diagnosis as Prognostic Factor in Different Tumor-Stages of Non-Functioning Pancreatic Endocrine Tumors

#650

Introduction: Although incidental diagnosis of non-functioning pancreatic endocrine tumors (NF-pNETs) is not an assurance of benign behavior, incidental NF-pNETs are associated with improved survival after resection.

Aim(s): To analyze the outcomes of incidentally discovered and symptomatic NF-pNETs stratified by tumor stage.

Materials and methods: All consecutive patients with symptomatic/incidental NF-PETs observed between 1990 and 2009 were analyzed considering different tumor stages.
