A Short History of ENETS

ENETS was established by its founding members to unify neuroendocrine tumor disease research among European medical professionals. Its primary aim was to integrate basic and clinical research with teaching, and to establish guidelines for the diagnosis and therapy of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP NETs).

Almost 20 years after its foundation, ENETS is now the largest, international NET society with more than 1,500 members.
