Large-Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Lung in Elderly Patient: Case Report and Review of Literature Abstract #3035

Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors account for less than 25% of lung cancers.Which is a rare malignant tumor with an aggressive profile has often already affected lymph nodes at presentation and it is de novo metastatic in nearly 40% of cases.
Aim(s): To report a case of large-cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Lung and discuss the natural history and treatment response.
Materials and methods: A 70-year-old-male with no particular history, was admitted in our department presenting with dyspnea that had progressed for 2 months. Chest scan revealed a solid lesion of 11cm at the right upper lobe with satellite lymph node of barety lodge. percutaneous biopsy with histopathological and immunohistochemical examination showed large-Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma with a low positivity of CK 7 and TTF1, a high positivity of CD56 and chromogranin, negativity of CK5/6 and a high mitotic index. The tumor was classified as CT4N2M0.
