Long-Term Outcomes of Surgical Management of Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors with Synchronous Liver Metastases Abstract #1056

Introduction: The value of surgical resection in the management of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET) with liver metastases (LM) is still debated.
Aim(s): The aim of the study was to evaluate the outcomes of surgery of PNET with LM.
Materials and methods: Patients with PNET with LM (2000-2011) from 4 Institutions were included. Patients were divided into 3 groups (curative resection, palliative resection, and no resection).

#825 Brain Metastases in Neuroendocrine Tumor Patients: Frequency and Outcome
Introduction: Brain metastases are rarely reported in patients with neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of non-lung origin and neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of the gastroenteropancreatic or bronchopulmonary system. Symptomatic brain metastases are associated with dismal prognosis, so early detection and treatment could be advisable.
