Lung Neuroendocrine Tumors: Experience of Medical Oncology Department of Hospital 1st November 1954 Oran

Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors account for 25% of all neuroendocrine tumors. It is a heterogeneous group that meets morphological criteria; immunohistochemical and molecular; defining 4 groups: Typical and atypical carcinoid tumors, neuroendocrine carcinomas with large cell and small cells. Carcinoid syndrome is rare in these tumors and the treatment is based on surgery for localized forms and multimodal treatment for metastatic forms.

Aim(s): The aim of our study is to determine the epidemiological, histological, clinical and therapeutic profiles of lung neuroendocrine tumors in medical oncology department at the 1st November 1954 hospital in Oran.

Materials and methods: Retrospective descriptive study of 5 men with lung neuroendocrine tumors, collected in medical oncology department at the 1st November 1954 hospital in Oran for a period from January 2017 to November 2019.
