Management of Patients with Multiple Pancreatic Tumors

#223

Introduction: MEN-1 syndrome is a rather rare disease. It is very complicated to manage this group of patients because of the multiple pancreatic lesions and high frequency of nesidioblastosis.

Aim(s): To present treatment tactics in a case of multiple neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas.

Materials and methods: A 30-year-old male with hipoglycemia was treated. After imaging procedures, multiple panreatic tumors were found: three in the head, one in the body, two in the tail. Patient also had primary hyperparathyroidism, urolithiasis. Arterial stimulated blood sampling showed that head tumors were non-functional and distal resection of the pancreas was performed.
