Nephrotoxicity after PRRT with 177Lu-DOTA-Octreotate

#1388

Introduction: Renal toxicity may occur after Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT). Risk factors have been identified for renal toxicity after 90Y based PRRT.

Aim(s): We investigated the renal function over time, the incidence of nephrotoxicity and associated risk factors after PRRT with 177Lu-DOTA0-Tyr3-Octreotate. Kidney dose was evaluated and compared to the accepted dose limits in external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) and 90Y-based PRRT.

Materials and methods: The incidence of renal toxicity (CTCAE v4.0) was evaluated in 323 patients and analysis of the annual loss of creatinine clearance (CLR) was done in 209 patients. Risk factors, including absorbed kidney dose, were analyzed with a non-linear mixed effect regression model.
