Introduction: Reports of octreotide therapy for symptomatic control in patients with functioning gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) in Asia are lacking.

Aim(s): To assess the efficacy of Octreotide therapy in patients with functioning GEP-NETs in the Asian population.

Materials and methods: Functioning GEP-NET patients who underwent Octreotide long-acting release (LAR) during June, 2002 to December, 2011 in Chang-Gung Memorial hospital (CGMH) were retrospectively analyzed.
