INTRODUCTION:
JOHN RADCLIFFE HOSPITAL (JR) UK is a large tertiary teaching hospital in Oxford, England UK. It forms part of OXFORD UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust. It's the main teaching hospital for the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University. It also serves as a major trauma center and a major accident and emergency site for Oxfordshire.
JOHN RADCLIFFE HOSPITAL provides acute medical and surgical services including trauma, intensive care, cardiothoracic services and recently added, Integrative and Holistic Care. It is situated in Headington, about three miles east of Oxford city centre. It is the largest of the Trust's hospitals, covering around 66 acres, and includes: Children's Hospital, Eye Hospital, Heart Centre, West Wing and Women's Centre and also houses many departments of Oxford University Medical School.
