Ovarian Primary Neuroendocrine Tumor Combined with a Monodermal Teratoma: A Case Report

Introduction: Primary neuroendocrine tumor of ovary is an uncommon neoplasm that may be found as a solitary mass or in association with teratomas or mucinous tumors.

Aim(s): We present a 74 y/o female with an ovarian carcinoid tumor.

Materials and methods: A 74-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain. Abdominal imaging revealed right ovarian mass lesion. She underwent TAH and BSO. Pathological exam showed ovarian carcinoid tumor combined with monodermal teratoma. IHC study was positive for CK, EMA, Chromogranin and NSE. There was no evidence of involvement of left ovary.
