Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNET) secrete a variety of hormones, but calcitonin secretion rarely occurs.
Aim(s): We present four patients diagnosed with pNET during investigation of elevated calcitonin (CT) levels (ranging between 30-355 pg/ml).
Materials and methods: There were two female and two male patients referred with the provisional diagnosis of medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) during investigation performed for various symptoms (initially attributable to thyroid diseases).
