Patient and Clinician Perspectives on Symptom Priorities Across the Spectrum of Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs) Abstract #2169

Introduction: NETs are associated with a range of symptoms, and symptom reduction is a common treatment target. Identifying priority symptoms across NETs can help inform clinical trial endpoints.
Aim(s): To identify priority symptoms from qualitative interviews with a sample of NET clinicians and patients.
Materials and methods: Experts: Providers were interviewed to identify priority symptoms in patients with gastrointestinal (GI), pancreatic (Pa), and lung NETs, with or without carcinoid syndrome (CS). Patients: Patients > 18 years old with a confirmed GI, Pa, or lung NET diagnosis were recruited from 2 outpatient clinics in the US and on-line advocacy groups. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to identify priority symptoms. Data were analyzed using qualitative methods.
