Perioperative Outcomes of Surgery for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Germany

Introduction: The incidence of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms(pNEN) is increasing and the perioperative outcomes of specialized centers are favourable.

Aim(s): To evaluate the actual indication for surgery and the perioperative outcome in Germany.

Materials and methods: Data from the prospective StuDoq/Pancreas registry of the German Society of General and Visceral Surgery were analysed regarding demographics,localisation of the tumor,type of surgical procedures,histology(WHO 2010 classification),and perioperative outcome.
