The Impact of NETwerk on the Multidisciplinary Tumor Boards Abstract #2070

Introduction: Since 2016, nine hospitals from the Belgian region Antwerp-Waasland collaborate with the aim to optimize treatment of neuroendocrine tumor patients. NET cases are biweekly discussed by NET experts at a NET specific multidisciplinary tumor board (NET MDT). This collaboration (NETwerk) obtained a certificate of ENETS Center of Excellence in 2017.
Aim(s): The aim is to describe NET MDT data and its impact on treatment plans in the local MDTs.
Materials and methods: Time intervals between local MDT and NET MDT, discussion frequency and treatment plans were prospectively registered in a database. Currently, NETwerk focusses on GEP-NET patients. A minority of NET patients with other primary tumor location were also enrolled.

#1896 Launching NETwerk: Diagnosis and Treatment of Neuroendocrine Tumors within a Multi-Institutional Collaboration in the Region of Antwerp-Waasland in Belgium
Introduction: Centralizing cancer services is one way to improve global outcome for cancer patients but brings along that patients must be motivated to travel and that doctors of local hospitals get deprived of the diagnostic and treatment skills. The alternative way is to centrally coordinate cancer services across different hospitals. In this scenario, local multidisciplinary teams refer all patients to be discussed among cancer specialists. This continuous feed-back system also creates the opportunity to propose additional more specific and sensitive examinations for individual patients which would introduce the end of local substandard treatment.

#2879 Lung Neuroendocrine Tumors: Experience of Medical Oncology Department of Hospital 1st November 1954 Oran
Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors account for 25% of all neuroendocrine tumors. It is a heterogeneous group that meets morphological criteria; immunohistochemical and molecular; defining 4 groups: Typical and atypical carcinoid tumors, neuroendocrine carcinomas with large cell and small cells. Carcinoid syndrome is rare in these tumors and the treatment is based on surgery for localized forms and multimodal treatment for metastatic forms.

#2686 Survivorship Care Model for Patients with Metastatic Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors(NET)are rare often indolent tumors. Approximately 22% of patients (pt's) present with metastatic disease at diagnosis and can live with metastatic disease for years. These pt's often don't identify as cancer survivors and don't meet the criteria for care in traditional survivorship clinics
