The Impact of NETwerk on the Multidisciplinary Tumor Boards

#2070

Introduction: Since 2016, nine hospitals from the Belgian region Antwerp-Waasland collaborate with the aim to optimize treatment of neuroendocrine tumor patients. NET cases are biweekly discussed by NET experts at a NET specific multidisciplinary tumor board (NET MDT). This collaboration (NETwerk) obtained a certificate of ENETS Center of Excellence in 2017.

Aim(s): The aim is to describe NET MDT data and its impact on treatment plans in the local MDTs.

Materials and methods: Time intervals between local MDT and NET MDT, discussion frequency and treatment plans were prospectively registered in a database. Currently, NETwerk focusses on GEP-NET patients. A minority of NET patients with other primary tumor location were also enrolled.
