The Incidence of Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors in the Russian Population

Introduction: Over the past four decades, the incidence of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) has increased. The limited choice of treatments, broad clinical variability of the syndrome explains the increased interest in NETs.

Aim(s): To report the incidence of patients with NETs of the gastrointestinal tract (GEP-NETs) depending on grade of malignancy,stage,overall survival in our republic.

Materials and methods: We retrospectively reviewed 11,728 patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal tumor, pancreas and liver tumor who received treatment in between 2011 and 2018 Kazan oncology center, Russia. 216 patients diagnosed with GEP-NETs, which is 1,86% of the total number of tumors of these localizations. In women was more frequent (61,6%). The average age of patients was 57 years(24 to 82 years).
