The Role of Hepatic Intra-arterial Therapies in Metastatic Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs): A Specialist Center Experience. Abstract #1293

Introduction: Liver metastases are relatively common in patients with NETs, having a negative impact on prognosis. The options for selective liver metastases therapy are limited to catheter guided procedures: TACE, TAE or SIRT. Data regarding the effectiveness & safety of these procedures in different types of NETs is limited.
Aim(s): To explore the clinical outcome, survival and safety profile of catheter-guided therapies for liver metastases in a group of NETs patients of different origin.
Materials and methods: Retrospective case series of consecutive patients treated at a single tertiary university medical center from 2005 to 2015.

#1632 The Role of Hepatic Trans-Arterial Chemoembolization in Metastatic Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma: A Specialist Center Experience and Review of the Literature
Introduction: Liver metastases are relatively common in patients with metastatic medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), carrying a negative impact on disease prognosis. The options for selective therapy of liver metastases in MTC patients are limited to catheter guided procedures such as trans-arterial chemoembolization (TACE). Data regarding the effectiveness and safety of this procedure in MTC is limited.

#1061 Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization for Unresectable Metastatic Hepatic Lesions of Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction: The blood supply of metastatic hepatic neuroendocrine tumors is mainly supplied by hepatic arteries. For unresectable metastatic NETs, selective embolisation of the hepatic arteries may be therapeutic.

#683 Liver Resection Experience for Metastatic Small Bowel NETs, a Single Center Experience
Introduction: Over the last two decades, the role of surgery in the management of small bowel NETs (SBNET) has evolved. There is growing evidence supporting the role of liver resection for metastatic disease.
