Transarterial Chemoembolization for Unresectable Liver Neuroendocrine Metastases

#1018

Introduction: Most patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) present with liver involvement at the time of diagnosis. Trans-catheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a method of treatment of non-resectable liver metastases.

Aim(s): To evaluate the clinical outcome: Overall survival (OS) and Progression Free Survival (PFS).

Materials and methods: We analyzed 40 patients who underwent 177 TACE procedures during 2003–2013. Kaplan–Meier method was used to calculate OS and PFS.
