Trends in Diagnosis of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (GEP-NETs) in India: A Report of Multicentre Data from a Web Based Registry

#2221

Introduction: The gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP- NETs) are rare tumors with lack of population-based data especially from India.

Aim(s): To identify the disease burden and trends in diagnostic evaluation in 407 GEP-NET cases– the first report of the first neuroendocrine tumor (NET) registry in India.

Materials and methods: The registry is an open-label, multicentre, longitudinal observational registry of patients with GEPNETs with contribution from six tertiary care oncology centres in India. Data was prospectively entered in a dedicated computerized database and reviewed retrospectively. The patients were divided into 3 cohorts- those diagnosed from 2001-2005, 2006-2010 and 2011-2016.
