Tumor Size Correlates with Grading in Nonfunctioning Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors and Is Not Age-Dependent Abstract #2200

Introduction: Tumor growth and Ki67 value increase are associated with aggressiveness in nonfunctioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (NF-PanNET), but their natural history is largely unknown. It is unknown if the evolution of NF-PanNET is time-dependant.
Aim(s): The aim is to evaluate a possible correlation between age, tumor size and grading in patients with NF-PanNET and its impact on disease free survival (DFS).
Materials and methods: Patients who underwent radical surgery for sporadic NF-PanNET G1 and G2 were retrospectively analysed. Linear regression analysis was performed to evaluate possible correlation between continuous variables. Multiple logistic regression and Cox’s regression analysis was performed.

However, small pancreatic endocrine tumors (PET) are more and more often recognized by CT/MRI and diagnosed by EUS. The value of Ki-67 labelling index (Ki-67-LI) on fine needle aspiration (FNA) is not well-established in this setting, although regularly assessed.
