What Do We Know About Carcinoid Heart Disease? A Systematic Literature Review

Introduction: Carcinoid heart disease (CHD) is a life-threatening complication of carcinoid syndrome (CS).

Aim(s): Our aim was to review published findings for CHD.

Materials and methods: A systematic literature review was conducted focusing on Europe and North America, without date restrictions. After de-duplication, 380 records were retrieved and screened, of which 39 were selected for data extraction (EU n=21, US n= 18).
