#595 A Single Fasting Plasma 5-HIAA Value Correlates with 24-Hour Urinary 5-HIAA Values and Other Biomarkers in Midgut Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs)

Introduction: 5-hydoxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) is used for the evaluation of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), however, the current 5-HIAA assay requires a 24-hour urine collection which is inconvenient.

Conference: 10th Annual ENETSConcerence (2013)

Presenting Author:

Authors: Tellez M, Mamikunian G, Go V, O'Dorisio T, Vinik A,

Keywords: 5 Hydroxyindoleacetic acid, 5-HIAA, neuroendocrine tumors, midgut, serotonin, carcinoid syndrome,

#402 Single-Center Treatment Outcomes in Patients (pts) with High Grade Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Uterine Cervix (cNEC)

Introduction: cNEC is a rare and aggressive cancer; the best treatment is unknown.

Conference: 9th Annual ENETSConcerence (2012)

Presenting Author:

Authors: Naraev B, Sharma N, Goodheart M, O'Dorisio T, Halfdanarson T,

Keywords: neuroendocrine, carcinoma, cervix, outcomes,

#401 Status of DNA Repair and Cell Proliferation Markers in High Grade Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Uterine Cervix (cNEC) Compared to Small Cell Carcinoma of the Lung (SCLC)

Introduction: Most patients (pts) with cNEC are treated with chemotherapy regimens used for SCLC due to both tumors’ histological similarity and aggressive behavior.

Conference: 9th Annual ENETSConcerence (2012)

Keywords: neuroendocrine, carcinoma, cervix, DNA, repair, proliferation, lung,

#395 Outcomes of Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) in North American Cohort of Patients with Metastatic Well-Differentiated Neuroendocrine Tumors (mNETs)

Introduction: PRRT is an accepted treatment in Europe for patients (pts) with mNETs, but considered investigational in the USA.

Conference: 9th Annual ENETSConcerence (2012)

#394 Efficacy of Telotristat Etiprate in Refractory Carcinoid Syndrome: Results of a Randomized, Placebo-controlled, Multicenter Study

Introduction: Diarrhea associated with carcinoid syndrome (CS) has been attributed to excess serotonin. Telotristat etiprate is an oral serotonin synthesis inhibitor that decreases peripheral serotonin production.

Presenting Author:

Authors: Kulke M, O'Dorisio T, Phan A, Bergsland E, Freiman J,

Keywords: carcinoid syndrome, telotristat etiprate,
