Current Educational Strategies Used by Nurses Caring for NET Patients: Electronic Survey across 25 Countries

Introduction: The ENETS Nurse Group performed a short pilot survey in 2015 to locate nurses who take care of NET patients and to explore NET nurse education needs. The results of this survey were used to design a more detailed electronic survey.

Aim(s): The objective was to capture levels of nurses confidence and knowledge of NETs, and how their educational needs were met.

Materials and methods: An electronic survey was sent to the ENETS members, and disseminated to local, national and international nursing societies and conferences, between December 2015 and August 2017. Variables included roles, education and confidence in working with NET patients. Descriptive analysis was performed.
